The town of Saugerties building inspector will be empowered to immediately issue tickets to businesses whose signage does not comply with town law if the board passes a proposed amendment to its sign law. The 2008 sign law required businesses with temporary signs (like mobile flashing billboard units used by many businesses to advertise specials) to present a plan for a permanent sign to the Planning Board, and allowed two years for installation.
